Liquidambar orientalis - Oriental Sweet Gum

L. orientalis is more round headed and shorter in stature than L. styraciflua.

Leaves are often palmately double-lobed.

Foliage is slightly smaller in size than L. styraciflua.

Bark is more checkered than L. styraciflua's vertical furrows.
